Job summary

BDO Unibank Cebu City is seeking a Financial Risk Analyst to deliver comprehensive risk-based financial analysis to support prudent lending decisions. You will assess borrowing clients' financial health and perform historical statement validations.

The role requires preparing detailed financial models, identifying assumptions, and conducting site visits with relationship managers to validate information and understand business operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Economics, Business Management, or related field.
• Fresh graduates with strong analytical and financial foundation.
• With 1 year experience in financial statements and ratios.

Responsibilities

• Assesses financial soundness and repayment capacity of borrowing clients
• Validates and analyses historical financial statements for accuracy and performance trends
• Identifies appropriate assumptions and performs financial projections primarily to evaluate the borrowing client's repayment capacity
• Performs sound reconstruction of financial statements with clear basis and assumptions for adjustments
• Conducts site visits and engages in client discussions together with the relationship manager, especially for new clients, in order to further understand the client’s business operation and validate information obtained versus available financial data
• Prepares financial spreadsheets and detailed financial analyses, including ratio assessment, to evaluate the borrowing client’s profitability, liquidity, leverage, and cash flow positions
• Benchmarks company performance against industry peers and historical norms
• Identifies key financial risks along with possible mitigating factors
