Job summary

San Miguel Global Power is seeking a qualified Accountant to conduct budget and variance analysis and forecasting, reconcile intercompany balances and receivables, and monitor deadlines with internal and external parties.

The role also covers tax compliance and review, including preparation of tax returns and reports, ensuring timely compliance with BIR regulations, audits, and tax updates to advise management. Strong IFRS/PFRS knowledge and proficiency in SAP B1 and Excel are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy is required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required.
• 1–3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, general accounting, and taxation.
• Big Four audit/assurance experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of IFRS and PFRS.
• Familiarity with NIRC and BIR rules.

The role involves conducting budget and variance analysis and forecasting, reconciling intercompany balances and receivables, and monitoring submissions and deadlines for both internal and external parties. It also covers tax compliance and review, including the preparation and review of tax returns, reports, and schedules, ensuring timely compliance with tax regulations, handling BIR-related transactions, audits, and assessments, and monitoring tax updates to advise management on compliance requirements. Additionally, the position requires reconciling tax accounts, supporting financial reporting requirements, and preparing other financial reports as needed.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
• Certified Public Accountant
• At least 1-3 Year(s) of working experience in bookkeeping, Accounts Payable, General Accounting, and Taxation.
• Experience in statutory audits or assurance engagements in one of the BIG FOUR (PwC, KPMG, Ernst & Young and Deloitte) accounting firms is an advantage.
• Knowledgeable in International Financial Accounting Standards (IFRS) and Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
• Possesses basic knowledge and skills involving Interpretation of NIRC and its corresponding BIR Revenue Regulations and Circulars
• Skilled and/or familiar in accounting systems particularly SAP B1.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications particularly Microsoft Excel
