About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Finance Associate to support the company's finance and accounting operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for bookkeeping, preparation and processing of BIR-related requirements, financial reporting, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, BIR compliance, taxation, and preparation of financial reports is preferred.
• Knowledge of Philippine accounting standards and BIR regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

Bookkeeping and Accounting

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts and financial records.
• Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare and reconcile bank statements and other financial records.
• Monitor company expenses, payments, collections, and disbursements.
• Organize and maintain accounting documents and supporting records.

BIR and Tax Compliance

• Assist in the preparation and filing of BIR tax returns and other required reports.
• Prepare supporting documents for tax payments and BIR compliance.
• Monitor deadlines for tax filings and other government requirements.
• Assist in responding to and coordinating requirements related to BIR compliance.

Financial Statements and Reports

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including:
• Balance Sheet / Statement of Financial Position
• Income Statement / Statement of Comprehensive Income

Cash Flow Statement

• Prepare regular financial reports and summaries for management.
• Assist in monitoring budgets, expenses, and financial performance.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Other Responsibilities

• Assist with internal and external audits and provide necessary supporting documents.
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and government agencies when necessary.
• Perform other finance and accounting-related tasks as assigned by management.
