Job summary

Create Synergies Inc. in the Philippines seeks an Accounting Team Lead to oversee financial accounting, payroll, tax, and regulatory reporting for the local entity in a multinational SSC/GBS setting.

You will drive month-end close, ensure compliance with Philippine laws, and lead interactions with auditors, vendors, and cross-functional teams. The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of payroll/tax/compliance, and experience in a PEZA/BOI-enabled environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; CPA preferred or required.
• 8-12 years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• 3+ years in a supervisory/leadership role.
• Experience in multinational SSC/GBS/BPO environment; PEZA/BOI exposure advantageous.
• Strong payroll, tax, BIR, statutory reporting, and vendor management background.
• Solid knowledge of PFRS/IFRS, internal controls, and SOX where applicable.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting; NetSuite desirable; US healthcare exp. a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close per IFRS/PFRS and internal policies.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and balance sheet schedules.
• Ensure internal controls, SOX (where applicable), and coordinate external audits.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll administration and statutory remittances.
• Manage local tax compliance: CIT, EWT, VAT, DST, and BIR filings.
• Coordinate tax audits and regulatory inquiries; BOI compliance activities.
• Ensure compliance with SEC, BIR, BOI, LGUs, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG.
• Oversee registrations, permits, corporate records, and statutory filings.
• Manage relationships with payroll providers, auditors, and consultants.
• Support procurement/contract management for finance ops.
• Serve as the primary finance representative for the Philippine entity.
• Provide leadership to finance staff and drive process/system improvements.
