Job summary

Manulife is seeking a Business Analyst to coordinate intake submissions, confirm core information, and support discovery across Finance transformation initiatives. You will gather stakeholder input, map current processes, and document requirements using agreed standards.

The role demands 2–4 years of relevant experience, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools; experience with Power BI/Power Platform and SQL is a plus. Night shift hours 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in business analysis, Finance, process improvement, project coordination, operations, data analysis, or a related field.
• Foundational understanding of Finance processes and an interest in Finance transformation, automation, analytics, data, and AI-enabled ways of working.
• Experience gathering requirements, documenting processes, analyzing information, coordinating actions, or preparing stakeholder materials.
• Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders across functions and levels.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools; experience with Power BI, Power Platform, Alteryx, SQL, Python, Visio, or other analysis and process tools is an asset.
• Curious, collaborative, service-oriented, and comfortable asking questions, surfacing gaps, and learning new concepts quickly.
• Candidate must be willing to work night shift, 9:00AM to 5:00PM EST.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate assigned intake submissions and confirm core information is complete and ready for triage.
• Support discovery by scheduling sessions, gathering stakeholder input, and documenting current-state processes.
• Create and maintain core analysis artifacts such as intake records, meeting notes, and requirements logs.
• Conduct research to identify themes, duplicate requests, and improvement opportunities.
• Work with cross-functional partners to clarify requirements and support solution assessment.
• Assist with readiness and routing assessments by organizing evidence related to value, fit, complexity, and risk.
• Maintain timely pipeline data and flag missing information or blockers.
• Prepare status updates, dashboards, and governance packs with consistent documentation.
• Support delivery transitions: walkthroughs, test scenarios, UAT coordination, and sign-off.
• Support change and adoption activities with readiness considerations, communications needs, and training inputs.
• Contribute to templates, knowledge repositories, and Community of Practice materials.
• Complete work with quality control and confidentiality regarding Finance data and controls.
