Job summary

CEVA Logistics in Manila is seeking a senior accounting lead to develop and implement accounting policies, oversee daily operations, and ensure compliance with Philippine regulations. You will manage treasury, reporting, budgeting, and internal controls while coordinating with auditors and business units.

The role requires strong analytical skills, familiarity with JD Edwards, Hyperion, and OneStream, and the ability to drive process improvements within a dynamic shared services environment.

Qualifications

• Degree/Masters in Finance or B.S. Accountancy from a recognized university.
• Exposure to tax and statutory requirements with the Philippine Government.
• Proficiency in accounting and auditing principles.
• Working knowledge of JD Edwards, Hyperion, OneStream and other finance IT systems.
• Analytical and technical ability to analyse large data sets and clearly communicate findings.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision and suggest process improvements.
• Strong management and interpersonal skills to collaborate across levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounting operations, daily cash flow activities, control systems, transaction processing functions, and related policies and procedures.
• Ensure revenues and expenses are recorded and allocated to the appropriate business units and cost centers.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and resolve aged items beyond 90 days.
• Maintain and manage the Chart of Accounts for accurate reporting.
• Establish and maintain internal controls over accounting transactions and segregation of duties.
• Ensure timely recording, preparation, and submission of financial reports, statutory returns, and management summaries.
• Lead weekly cash flow forecasts and annual budgets, refining assumptions for planning.
• Monitor expenses against budgets and implement corrective actions for variances.
• Coordinate with external auditors (KPMG) and internal auditors and address findings.
• Prepare annual financial statements and ensure regulatory reporting compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of Philippine tax laws and ensure full compliance.
• Gather and analyse data to support strategic reviews, planning, and performance evaluations.
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for management.
• Ensure accuracy and continuous improvement of accounting processes and compliance.
• Oversee payroll-related accounting entries and reconcile payroll to GL.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to address business requirements.
• Provide ad hoc financial analyses for improvement initiatives.
