Job summary

Discover Group of Travel Services Inc. is seeking a Finance Officer in the Philippines to manage daily financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and support reporting and budgeting processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a good grasp of accounting procedures, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office. Fresh graduates with internship experience may also be considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Financial Management, or related field.
• Previous experience in Finance, Accounting, or a similar position is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic accounting and financial procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to handle confidential financial information professionally.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience may also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor daily financial transactions, including collections, payments, and disbursements.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and supporting documents.
• Monitor Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions.
• Prepare invoices, statements of accounts, payment requests, and other financial documents.
• Perform regular reconciliation of bank accounts and financial records.
• Monitor company expenses and assist in budget preparation and expense tracking.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and other reports required by management.
• Review financial documents and transactions for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain organized and confidential financial records and files.
• Assist with payroll-related financial documentation and employee reimbursements when required.
• Coordinate with other departments regarding billing, payments, reimbursements, and financial concerns.
• Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary financial records and documentation.
• Ensure financial transactions comply with company policies and applicable accounting and regulatory requirements.
• Identify discrepancies and assist in resolving financial and accounting-related issues.
• Perform other finance-related duties that may be assigned by management.
