Job summary

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in FP&A, accounting, financial reporting, or a related financial analysis role.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Experience analyzing financial results and explaining variances, trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with finance colleagues and cross-functional business partners.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly close, estimate, forecast, and annual budget processes for the Division.
• Prepare variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods, identifying key business drivers and risks.
• Lead operational finance activities such as quarterly sanctions reporting, impairment analysis, and Windows group management in partnership with Legal & Compliance.
• Assist with preparations and consolidation of financial submissions in partnership with the Director and wider Energy Finance team.
• Help ensure reporting outputs are accurate, timely, and aligned with Corporate FP&A requirements.
• Serve as the Key Liaison over Energy’s reporting hierarchies, support Chart of Accounts maintenance, and ensure alignment with business structure.
• Prepare and maintain financial reporting for management, build models supporting forecasts, budgets, strategic plans, and scenario analyses.
• Analyze financial performance, identify trends and variances, and provide insights to support business decisions.
• Transform raw financial data into meaningful analyses, presentations, and financial narratives for senior stakeholders.
• Assist with product line assessments, business cases, and ad hoc analyses related to strategic initiatives.
• Prepare financial analyses, schedules, presentations, and supporting materials for QFR and QBR.
• Coordinate inputs and updates from finance and business partners in accordance with timelines.
• Assist with Energy expense and headcount reporting, including reconciliations and forecast updates.
• Support development of executive-level commentary on financial performance, outlook, risks, and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Corporate FP&A and other finance teams to support key deliverables and alignment with SAP Global goals.
• Build relationships with cross-functional partners to gather data and resolve reporting questions.
• Provide analytical support to stakeholders and communicate findings clearly.
• Assist the Director with recurring and ad hoc requests from Finance and business leadership.
• Participate in finance automation and AI initiatives across Energy and use tools to develop models, dashboards, and management reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting accuracy, controls, and efficiency.
