Job summary

Hawko Audio Visual Light & Sound Solutions is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the entire accounts function and ensure accurate financial operations. You will lead the accounts team, manage AP/AR/GL, and supervise monthly close and reporting in line with company standards.

The role requires strong Excel skills, 5+ years in finance leadership, and the ability to coordinate with auditors and management for strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting or CAT or equivalent.
• Min 5 years of experience as Finance/Accounts Manager or similar.
• Experience leading AP and AR teams and preparing financial reports.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full spectrum of accounts: AP, AR, GL, reconciliations.
• Lead accounts team to ensure timely monthly close and reporting.
• Ensure data entry accuracy in accounting systems.
• Prepare quarterly GST submissions, tax computations and surveys.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow statements.
• Conduct monthly financial performance analysis and present to management.
• Develop and improve internal controls and policies.
• Coordinate with auditors, bank and secretaries as needed.
• Assist in payroll duties and HR related payroll tasks.

Finance Manager

This role involves overseeing all aspects of Accounts Department. The candidate is responsible for providing financial and administrative work in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial operations in the Finance department.

She/he is responsible for following duties:

Job Requirements:

• Min qualification Diploma in Accounting or CAT or equivalent

• Min 5 years of experience as a Finance Manager / Accounts Manager or similar role

• Experience in leading accounts team consisting of AP and AR

• Experience in financial reporting to management

• Good communication skills with positive attitude

• Good team player and able to work with minimal supervision

• Willing to work after office hours if needed especially during month end closing

• Meticulous with an eye for detail

• Familiar with MS Excel applications

• Able to start work immediately or in short notice

Job Scope:

• Oversee full spectrum of accounts matters (AP, AR, GL, Reconciliation etc).

• Oversee Accounts Department. Lead the accounts team and ensure timely & accurate monthly financial closing, reporting and consolidation of management reporting in compliance with Singapore accounting standards.

• Ensure accounting data are correctly input into the system (AP, AR, GL data etc)

• Perform and submit quarterly GST submissions, tax computations and government surveys

• Monitor daily cash flow, prepare cash flow statements, perform cash flow projections.

• Perform monthly financial performance analysis (variance, product costing, project costing, profitability analysis etc) and provide relevant & meaningful financial information for decision making. Participate in monthly meetings with management to explain and advice on decision making

• Recommend, implement and improve internal controls and financial policies, practices and procedures within the company to attain good corporate governance and standards.

• Manage and perform internal stock check, annual stock take with auditors, and audit if necessary

• Liaise with compilers for company matters, accounts compilation schedules and queries. Manage external compiler.

• Liaise with company secretary, financial institutions and IRAS for company matters, bank financing issues, TT transaction payments, filing of taxation etc

• Oversee and perform any upgrade implementations to accounting software

• Perform monthly payroll duties and submitting to bank in an accurate and timely manner

• Assist in HR duties with regards to Payroll for intern, part-timers and CPF contribution. Recruitment of new foreign workers’ work permit, housing, medical etc.

• Any other responsibilities and ad hoc assignments that the Management and Directors may include from time to time.
