Job Description
The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the client and related entities while providing high‑quality financial support to Owners Corporation (OC) Managers and Member Businesses.
The role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory obligations, effective management of OC financial accounts within Property IQ, and continuous improvement of finance processes across the organisation.
The position also manages the finance team and contributes to strategic initiatives that improve operational efficiency and financial performance.
Position Context
- Corporate financial management of Select Assist and related entities
- Financial administration and support for Member Businesses and Owners Corporations
- Oversight of finance team operations and back‑office accounting processes
- Process improvement and financial reporting for executive decision making
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Operations Management: manage the day‑to‑day financial operations, supervise bank downloads, maintain accurate recording across accounting systems, monitor controls, support OC Managers, corporate finance management.
- Financial Administration: manage supplier payments, invoice processing, bank transactions, general ledger, company debit card reconciliations.
- Payroll: prepare and process fortnightly payroll including commissions, leave adjustments, superannuation contributions, deductions.
- Financial Reporting: prepare monthly management reports and statements, provide rolling forecasts and insights, track insurance commission revenue, manage holding funds.
- Budgeting: prepare annual corporate budgets and forecasts with the General Manager.
- Statutory Compliance and Tax Reporting: lodge BAS, IAS, Income Tax Returns, FBT; ensure ATO compliance, manage GST obligations.
- Financial Processing: supervise daily bank transaction downloads, manage reimbursements, handle withdrawals, monitor arrears.
- Reconciliations: oversee monthly bank reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, maintain records for audit.
- Financial Adjustments: process adjustments requested by OC Managers.
- Financial Support: respond to enquiries, resolve supplier issues, liaise with Property IQ, provide guidance to strata managers.
- Owners Corporation Lifecycle Management: manage onboarding finances, account setup, bank details, financial records, Property IQ configuration; handle off‑boarding closure processes.
- Billing and Revenue Management: raise invoices, monitor balances, maintain revenue allocation, manage internal charges.
- Finance Team Leadership: manage and lead the Finance team, conduct daily check‑ins, allocate workloads, review work, provide support and mentoring, handle complex enquiries.
- Process Improvement & Strategic Contribution: identify opportunities, recommend enhancements, support strategic initiatives.

Qualification and Requirements
- CA or CPA qualification preferred
Experience
- Experience in senior financial management.
- Minimum 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
