This full-time role oversees accounting operations, statutory reporting, tax compliance, treasury, budgeting, and P&L analysis to support strategic decisions and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has a Philippine CPA (preferred), 8+ years of relevant experience, and strong knowledge of local accounting standards, taxation, and internal

• Philippine CPA qualification is preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant finance experience including 3+ years in supervision.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting, taxation, and regulatory reporting.
• Experience in logistics, freight or warehousing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including GL, AR, AP, fixed assets and month-end close.
• Prepare and review statutory financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory and governance requirements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and P&L analysis with cross-functional teams.
• Drive process improvements and ERP system enhancements.

About the role

Worldwide Logistics Philippines Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our finance team in Paranaque City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in managing the financial operations and strategic financial planning of our organisation. As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing financial activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing financial insights to support business decisions. This role is integral to ensuring our company's financial health and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, accruals, and expense control.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing in accordance with applicable accounting standards and Group policies.
• Prepare and review statutory financial statements, management reports, and regional or Group reporting packages.
• Maintain complete accounting records, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.

Tax, Statutory Compliance & Audit

• Ensure timely and accurate compliance with applicable Philippine tax, statutory, regulatory, and corporate reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisers, and relevant government authorities, and ensure audit readiness.
• Monitor changes in accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements and implement necessary updates.

Treasury & Working Capital Management

• Manage cash flow, bank accounts, payment processes, and short-term cash forecasting.
• Monitor customer collections, supplier payments, AR and AP ageing, and working capital performance.
• Maintain appropriate controls over payments, banking transactions, and financial approvals.

Budgeting, Forecasting & P&L Analysis

• Lead the annual budgeting process and prepare periodic forecasts and scenario analyses.
• Monitor revenue, costs, margins, and profitability, and analyze variances against budget and forecast.
• Partner with operations and commercial teams on pricing, transportation, warehousing, fuel, and other key cost drivers.
• Provide practical recommendations to improve margins, cost control, and overall financial performance.

Risk Management & Internal Controls

• Design, implement, document, and continuously improve internal control frameworks.
• Identify financial and operational risks and coordinate appropriate mitigation actions.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance, delegation of authority, and Group finance policies.

Process & System Improvement

• Lead finance process improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives.
• Support the effective use and improvement of ERP, accounting, reporting, and dashboard systems.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

• Lead, structure, coach, and develop the local Finance and Accounting team.
• Set team objectives and KPIs, conduct performance evaluations, and strengthen succession and capability planning.

Work closely with Operations, Sales, HR, Procurement, regional finance, Group finance, and external stakeholders.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Philippine CPA qualification is preferred.
• At least 8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, warehousing, or supply chain industries is preferred.
• Strong Excel skills and practical experience with accounting or ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and team management skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English, with the ability to work effectively with regional and Group finance teams.
