About the role
We are looking for a Finance Supervisor who will oversee the day-to-day finance and accounting activities. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, timely financial reporting, proper cash and expense management, and compliance with applicable accounting, tax, and statutory requirements.
The Finance Supervisor will work closely with Finance Manager and other departments to provide reliable financial information, ensure compliance with BIR requirements, strengthen internal controls, and support sound business decisions. The role will also supervise and guide finance staff to ensure that finance activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and within established deadlines.
What you’ll be doing
- Supervise and monitor the daily finance and accounting operations of the Company.
- Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash transactions, disbursements, and other financial activities.
- Review financial transactions, reconciliations, and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget and cash flow requirements.
- Ensure timely processing of payments, collections, reconciliations, and other finance-related transactions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable BIR rules, regulations, tax filing requirements, and other statutory requirements.
- Prepare, review, and monitor BIR tax returns, schedules, reports, and supporting documents to ensure accurate and timely submission.
- Monitor BIR deadlines and ensure timely filing and payment of applicable taxes.
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, BIR, banks, government agencies, suppliers, and other external parties when necessary.
- Assist in handling BIR-related inquiries, assessments, audits, and other tax compliance matters.
- Prepare and organize financial documents and schedules required for audits, BIR compliance, and other regulatory requirements.
- Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements to finance processes and procedures.
- Supervise, coach, and support finance staff in the performance of their duties.
- Coordinate with HR, Operations, and other departments on finance-related matters.
- Maintain confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive financial and Company information.
- Perform other finance-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by Management.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably with supervisory or team‑lead experience.
- Strong knowledge of BIR rules, regulations, tax compliance, and filing requirements.
- Hands‑on experience in BIR tax filings, compliance, documentation, and coordination.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
- Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and general accounting.
- Experience in preparing financial reports and supporting audit requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with accounting software or ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrates integrity, accountability, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Ability to work independently while effectively coordinating with Management and other departments.
- CPA license is an advantage but not required.
