Batangas Bay Towage Inc is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee all accounting, reporting, budgeting, and finance operations. You will ensure IFRS compliance, manage working capital, and lead a small team to deliver timely financial insights for decision-makers.
The role requires CPA/CA, 5-8 years in senior finance roles, and strong communication across English and Tagalog. Industry exposure to towage/shipping is preferred, with a proactive leadership style and cross-functional collaboration.
As Finance Manager you will:
Manage all aspects of accounting, reporting, taxation, working capital management monitoring and optimisation.
Ensure full compliance with statutory, corporate, and regulatory rules and obligations.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and business cases.
Drive financial performance, cost efficiency, and compliance across the business.
Manage daily finance operations, including payments, invoicing, and receivables.
Ensure statutory and management reporting is accurate and timely, and leading external audits.
Act as proactive business partner to the General Manager, providing financial advice, insight and challenge to support decision-making.
Prepare and present financial updates to the board and shareholders and maintain close communication with shareholders.
Lead, coach, and develop a small finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following qualifications and experience:
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
CPA/CA professional qualification.
Minimum 5-8 years of senior finance experience, including team leadership in an international team setting.
Strong financial acumen with knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations, governance, and risk & control frameworks.
Proven experience in accounting, statutory reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost management, financial analysis, leading external audits and ensuring compliance with corporate and statutory obligations.
Extensive knowledge of Philippine taxation and regulations and familiar with other government agencies compliance requirement (BIR, LGU, BOI, BSP, BOC, MARINA).
Hands-on experience with ERP/finance systems; exposure to MS Dynamics and OneStream is an advantage.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Fluency in English and Tagalog (written and spoken).
Industry experience in towage, shipping, or transportation is preferred but not mandatory.
