Job summary

VG SUPPLY CHAIN, INC. is seeking a seasoned Finance Leader to direct all accounting and finance functions in a dynamic logistics environment in the Philippines.

You will oversee GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, treasury, and tax compliance, while producing timely financial statements and management reports. You will implement robust internal controls, drive budgeting and forecasting, cash flow planning, and cost analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
• CPA is required; CMA or MBA is an advantage.
• Minimum 8-10 years progressive accounting and finance experience, with 3-5 years in a managerial or controller role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all accounting and finance functions including GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, treasury, and tax compliance.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with PFRS, BIR, SEC, and other regulations.
• Develop and monitor internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, cost analysis, and financial planning.
• Partner with operations to analyze warehouse, transport costs, profitability, and performance.
• Coordinate external audits and tax audits.
• Monitor working capital and optimize cash management.
• Provide financial insights to senior management for strategic decisions.
• Lead and develop the finance team for high performance.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

MAJOR:

• Lead and manage all accounting and finance functions, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Treasury, and Tax Compliance.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), BIR regulations, SEC requirements, and other applicable government regulations.
• Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls, financial policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, cost analysis, and financial planning activities.
• Partner with operational leaders to analyze warehouse and transportation costs, profitability, and operational performance.
• Coordinate external audits, tax audits, and other regulatory examinations.
• Monitor working capital requirements and optimize cash management strategies.
• Provide financial recommendations and business insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.

MINOR:

• Evaluate and recommend process improvements and financial automation initiatives.
• Support contract reviews and financial due diligence activities.
• Assist management in evaluating capital expenditures and investment opportunities.
• Participate in cross-functional projects related to supply chain and logistics optimization.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by the CFO or Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related business discipline

License/Certificate: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required; CMA or MBA is an advantage

Years of Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or controller-level role, preferably within logistics, transportation, warehousing, distribution, or supply chain industries

Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, accounting software, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering capabilities.
• Knowledge of logistics, warehousing, transportation costing, and supply chain financial management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-site operational environment.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and professional judgment.
