DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
MAJOR:
- Lead and manage all accounting and finance functions, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Treasury, and Tax Compliance.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), BIR regulations, SEC requirements, and other applicable government regulations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls, financial policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, cost analysis, and financial planning activities.
- Partner with operational leaders to analyze warehouse and transportation costs, profitability, and operational performance.
- Coordinate external audits, tax audits, and other regulatory examinations.
- Monitor working capital requirements and optimize cash management strategies.
- Provide financial recommendations and business insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
MINOR:
- Evaluate and recommend process improvements and financial automation initiatives.
- Support contract reviews and financial due diligence activities.
- Assist management in evaluating capital expenditures and investment opportunities.
- Participate in cross-functional projects related to supply chain and logistics optimization.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the CFO or Management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related business discipline
License/Certificate: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required; CMA or MBA is an advantage
Years of Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or controller-level role, preferably within logistics, transportation, warehousing, distribution, or supply chain industries
Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, accounting software, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business partnering capabilities.
- Knowledge of logistics, warehousing, transportation costing, and supply chain financial management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-site operational environment.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and professional judgment.
