Overall purpose and responsibilities of the role:

They are seeking a Finance Manager to lead their finance team of 14 professionals across multiple locations. This role requires hands-on leadership in financial operations, tax compliance, audit management, and system optimization. The successful candidate will drive financial excellence while supporting company aggressive growth objectives.

Financial Controllership & Group Reporting (Primary):

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing process for all KFPH entities, ensuring delivery within Group reporting deadlines (Day 6 country submission).
  • Prepare and review management accounts, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements; ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency in line with PFRS/IFRS and Group accounting policies.
  • Prepare and submit the Finpack (MA Pack) reporting pack, variance commentary, and IFF reports to Regional Finance and Group Finance.
  • Own balance sheet integrity — lead quarterly balance sheet reviews, reconciliations, and clearance of aged or unreconciled items including AR/AP aging, intercompany (ICP) balances, and provisions.
  • Drive technical accounting positions and judgements (revenue recognition, leases/ROU, impairment, bad debt provisioning, foreign exchange) in alignment with PFRS/IFRS and Group policy.
  • Provide financial analysis to the Country Head and regional stakeholders for strategic business decision-making.

Statutory Compliance & Audit:

  • Manage statutory financial statement preparation and external audit closure, ensuring on-time filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors; coordinate audit planning, fieldwork, and resolution of audit issues to achieve an unqualified audit opinion.
  • Ensure compliance with all Philippine statutory, regulatory, and corporate secretarial requirements (BIR, SEC, LGU, BSP).
  • Lead corporate income tax (CIT), VAT, expanded withholding tax (EWT), and transfer pricing compliance in coordination with the Regional Tax team.
  • Ensure timely submission of all returns and reports to government agencies with zero penalties for late filing.
  • Personally handle all tax and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Manage tax filings, submissions, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with external tax advisors when necessary.
  • Lead audit processes from start to finish.
  • Coordinate with finance team members to provide required documentation.
  • Ensure timely resolution of audit findings and recommendations.

Governance, Controls & Risk:

  • Maintain a strong internal control environment; design, implement, and monitor financial controls and segregation of duties across all KFPH functions.
  • Ensure operating and financial controls are in place and working effectively — target zero incidence of fraud.
  • Lead the review, standardization, and improvement of finance SOPs, policies, and processes.
  • Coordinate with internal audit on reviews, findings, and remediation; track and close audit actions.
  • Manage treasury, cash management, and banking relationships to secure and maintain adequate credit facilities and banking services.

FP&A Support & Business Partnering (Secondary):

  • Implement financial disciplines across business units (IFF, Brokerage, Integrated Logistics, Transport) to maximize profits and ensure financial targets (EBIT) are met.
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting cycles by providing accurate baseline financials, actuals, and reporting templates.
  • Provide controllership input into commercial evaluations, business cases, and investment proposals.
  • Provide recommendations to improve profitability, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial processes and reporting.
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop comprehensive financial plans

Process Improvement & Transformation:

  • Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement of closing and reporting processes.
  • Support and Oversee ERP (SUN6 / Sun SaaS) and KSMART system enhancement, finance digitalization, and reporting tool implementation projects.
  • Champion data-driven decision-making, dashboarding (Power BI), and adoption of advanced AI tools (e.g. Claude) to enhance finance operational excellence.

  • Drive system and process improvements within the finance function.

  • Provide guidance, coaching, and technical accounting support to the finance team and business partners.
  • Review and approve financial reports, accounting work, and team deliverables.
