Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Finance Associate Director to provide strategic and operational leadership across the organization’s finance function. The role will serve as a key business partner to the Finance Director, CEO, and senior management, driving financial performance, commercial decision-making, governance, and long-term business growth.
The ideal candidate is a senior finance professional with extensive experience managing finance functions within retail, fashion, consumer products, FMCG, or other fast-paced, multi-site organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Finance Director and executive management in developing and executing the organization’s financial strategy and business plans.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and performance analysis.
- Provide strategic recommendations on profitability, margins, pricing, cost management, investments, and business expansion.
- Oversee financial performance across multiple sites, business units, and operating segments.
- Lead commercial finance initiatives and provide financial insights to support major business decisions.
- Oversee cash flow, working capital, liquidity, and treasury management.
- Establish and maintain robust financial governance, internal controls, policies, and risk management processes.
- Lead and support major financial and commercial negotiations with landlords, suppliers, brand principals, and other strategic partners.
- Drive finance transformation, process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate financial risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
- Develop financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses for strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with Operations, Commercial, Procurement, and other functions to improve overall business performance.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and meaningful financial reporting to management.
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance managers and teams while building a high-performing finance organization.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, statutory requirements, company policies, and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CPA or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred.
- At least 12–15 years of progressive finance experience, with substantial experience in senior leadership or management roles.
- Proven experience in retail, fashion, consumer products, FMCG, or other multi-site, high-volume, fast-paced industries.
