Job Summary:
The Finance and Accounting Manager will take responsibility for assuring that the financial statements are prepared accurately and timely. As someone in a mid-senior role, the employee must also act to assist the accounting associates and to ensure that the duties are carried out while mentoring junior members of the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor accurate and timely recording and invoicing of sales, purchases and expenses
Ensure daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reports for compliance are submitted and reported timely and accurately
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of the Tax for BIR and LGU compliance
Ensure that the management's financial assertions are properly reflected in the accounting system/records/general and subsidiary ledger (existence/occurrence, completeness, accuracy, valuation and allocation, rights and obligations, presentation & disclosure)
Assist the Accounting Officer in ensuring that current company Standard Operating Procedures remain up to date, relevant and effective for current company processes and goals and to mitigate current business risks
Prepares recurring and ad hoc reports pulled from the accounting system to support the Management Accounting, Treasury, Tax Divisions and other Departments as necessary
Perform and lead ad-hoc tasks/projects as needed
Tax Compliance
Ensures all payables are settled timely and accurately
Ensures revenue is recorded correctly
Ensures the timely and accurate processing of payroll and accounting transactions.
Assumes responsibility for the implementation of company policies, rules, and regulations, as well as the discipline, work performance, attendance, training, and development of personnel under his supervision
Qualifications:
BS Accounting graduate or equivalent.
With at least 3 to 5 years experienced in related field
Knowledgeable of accounting processes and tax compliance
Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems
Commendable oral and written communication skills
Strong leadership and personnel management skills
Analytical skills with detail orientation
