Wilmar Edible Oils Philippines, Inc. is seeking a Finance and Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily operations of the department at our Gingoog City site.

You will ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and strong internal controls, while coordinating with the Head Office Accounting & Finance team. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting/finance with supervisory experience, proficiency in SAP and MS Excel, and excellent leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance or related field.
• 5+ years in accounting/finance, supervisory role; manufacturing is a plus.
• CPA or related professional certificate is a plus.
• Proficient in SAP, reporting tools, and MS Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Willing to work onsite: Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental.

Responsibilities

Job description

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Finance and Accounting department of the factory. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and effective internal controls.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure that Finance and Accounting policies and procedures are properly implemented. Reports directly to the Head Office - Accounting & Finance of any issues or deviations from established financial and accounting standards.
• Ensure that all cash receipts are accurately documented and promptly deposited into the company's bank accounts.
• Develop and implement action plans as approved by the Head Office -Accounting & Finance that aim to optimize the use of company assets.
• Verifies the validity of all disbursements and ensures that payments are properly supported by complete documents, in accordance with accounting procedures and fiscal policies.
• Maintain strong working relationships and effective coordination with banks, customers, colleagues, department heads, and government agencies to ensure smooth and efficient processes.
• Collaborates with other departments involved in plant operations to enhance overall efficiency.
• Foster positive working relationships with colleagues, peers, and superiors, while actively leading, mentoring, and developing staff to strengthen the department's overall performance.
• Ensures timely payment of mandatory remittances, loan deductions, taxes, licenses, and withholding taxes on compensation and expanded transactions.
• Ensure the petty cash disbursements are accurate, appropriate, and properly documented.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness and timely submission of all reports and supporting documents submitted to the Head Office.
• Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of payroll processing.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline
• At least 5 years' accounting/finance experience in a supervisory role / Accounting In-charge (Manufacturing is a plus)
• CPA or with related Professional certificates is a plus
• Proficient in Accounting systems specifically in SAP, reporting tools, and MS Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Ability to manage a team and cross-departmental collaboration
