The Finance and Accounting Head is responsible for leading the financial strategy, planning, accounting operations, treasury, taxation, and compliance functions of the organization. The role ensures financial sustainability, profitability, and operational efficiency by providing accurate financial information, managing risks, optimizing costs, and supporting decision-making across catering, commissary, warehouse, logistics, and event operations.
The position serves as a strategic business partner to Operations, Sales, Purchasing, and HR to ensure that event profitability, food cost controls, inventory management, and cash flow objectives are achieved.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Finance and Accounting Department.
Ensure timely preparation and submission of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Monitor company financial performance against approved budgets and targets.
Present financial analyses and recommendations to Management.
Lead annual budgeting and forecasting exercises.
Develop financial models and profitability analyses for business expansion initiatives.
Monitor profitability of catering events, banquets, and special projects.
Review event costing sheets and ensure target gross profit margins are achieved.
Analyze food, beverage, labor, logistics, and event operational costs.
Provide recommendations to improve event profitability and operational efficiencies.
Review pricing structures and menu costing with Operations and Sales teams.
Establish and monitor food cost, beverage cost, and operational expense controls.
Ensure monthly inventory reconciliation for commissary, warehouses, and event supplies.
Analyze inventory variances, wastage, spoilage, and shrinkage.
Collaborate with Procurement and Operations to optimize purchasing and inventory levels.
Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory.
Manage company cash flow and working capital requirements.
Monitor collections, payables, and vendor payment schedules.
Ensure sufficient liquidity for operational and event requirements.
Oversee banking relationships and financing arrangements.
Ensure timely filing of all BIR, SEC, LGU, SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG requirements.
Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory obligations.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and government agencies.
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Establish and maintain robust financial controls.
Conduct regular reviews of financial processes and systems.
Lead internal audit activities and corrective action implementation.
Safeguard company assets, cash, inventory, and fixed assets.
Lead, coach, and develop Finance and Accounting personnel.
Establish departmental KPIs and performance standards.
Ensure succession planning and capability development.
Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
A CPA is a plus but not required
MBA or CMA is an advantage.
Minimum of 5 years experience in a Finance Manager, Accounting Manager, or Finance Head role.
Experience in catering, hospitality, food service, restaurant, FMCG, or event management industry preferred.
Proven experience in inventory accounting and cost management.
