  • Provides basic customer orientation on CPE usage and troubleshooting.

  • Follows safety protocols and uses PPE during fieldwork.

Job description

Responsible for installation, activation, and basic troubleshooting of drop fiber/coax connections and customer premises equipment (CPE).

Supports service delivery by ensuring quality installations, accurate documentation, customer satisfaction, and compliance with technical and safety standards.

  • Covers drop cable installation and CPE setup at customer premises

  • Includes activation, troubleshooting, and service verification

  • Ensures adherence to technical standards, documentation requirements, and safety protocols

  • Coordinates with client representatives and support teams

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Drop Installation and Activation
  1. Installs fiber/coax drop cables from distribution points to customer premises

  2. Installs, connects, and configures CPE (modems, ONTs, routers, set-top boxes)

  3. Verifies service activation through testing such as signal strength, internet speed, and TV provisioning

  4. Ensures neat, secure, and standardized installation of cabling and equipment

  5. Provides basic customer orientation on CPE usage and troubleshooting

  6. Addresses customer inquiries during installation and activation

B. Troubleshooting and Maintenance
  1. Diagnoses and resolves basic drop-related issues such as signal loss and connectivity problems

  2. Performs basic troubleshooting of CPE including reset, reconfiguration, and firmware checks

  3. Escalates complex or recurring issues to higher-level technical support

C. Technical Quality and Compliance
  1. Follows established technical standards and installation procedures

  2. Ensures proper use of tools, materials, and personal protective equipment (PPE)

  3. Maintains quality workmanship in all installations and repair activities

D. Reporting and Documentation
  1. Completes and submits Job Order Accomplishment Reports for all activities.

  2. Documents installation details such as CPE serial numbers, MAC addresses, and activation logs.

  3. Prepares and submits service activation reports and installation records.

  4. Ensures accuracy and timely submission of all documentation.

E. Safety Standards Compliance
  1. Uses ladders, harnesses, and PPE properly during fieldwork.

  2. Applies safe and efficient work practices at all times.

  3. Reports hazards and unsafe conditions immediately.

F. Customer Service and Communication
  1. Maintains professionalism and positive customer interaction at all times.

  2. Provides clear, polite, and accurate updates regarding installation and service status.

  3. Ensures customer satisfaction through quality service delivery.

G. Other Duties
  1. Complies with all company policies, rules, procedures, and safety regulations.

  2. Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and quality workmanship.

  3. Performs other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by immediate superior or management from time to time.

QUALIFICATION GUIDES
  • Graduate of Electronics Technology, or holder of NC II Technical Vocational Certificate, or any related field or equivalent

  • LTO Driver's License (preferred)

  • Fresh graduate or Senior High School graduate with NC II Technical Vocational Certificate

  • Basic Knowledge in Electrical and Electronics, Troubleshooting and Repair Skills, Attention to Detail and Work Quality, Customer Service and Interpersonal Skills, Integrity and Reliability, Teamwork and Cooperation, Stress Tolerance

  • TESDA NC II (Electrical, Electronics, or related), Basic Fiber Installation Training, Safety Training (PPE, working at heights)

  • Physical Effort/ Working Conditions: Field-based work focused on drop installation activities. Involves climbing poles, handling light cables, and outdoor work, Daytime operations; no night shift requirements
