Job summary

Dräger Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Field Service Engineer - Portable Gas in the Philippines.

You will manage service orders, coordinate with service teams, and serve as the primary contact for customers and internal stakeholders. • Requires 5–10 years in service or engineering within Oil & Gas or Process industries.
• Hands-on instrumentation equipment and instrument measurements.
• Marine industry experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage service orders from initiation to completion, coordinating with Service, Logistics and other departments.
• Act as primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders, providing updates on technical issues and delivery schedules.
• Perform commissioning, preventive, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, service documentation, and warranty repairs.
• Independently diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing downtime.
• Prepare and communicate technical findings and service reports clearly to customers and stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and on-the-job coaching to junior engineers/technicians.
• Participate in service-related projects and equipment enhancement initiatives.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Manage assigned service orders from initiation through completion, coordinating closely with Service, Logistics, and other relevant departments to ensure timely and accurate execution.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders, providing updates and support on technical issues, service requirements, equipment status, and delivery schedules.

• Perform equipment commissioning, contract maintenance, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, service documentation, and warranty repairs for assigned products and systems.

• Independently diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions to restore optimal performance.

• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency service requests, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing equipment downtime.

• Prepare and communicate technical findings, service reports, and recommendations clearly and professionally to customers and internal stakeholders.

• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and on-the-job support to junior service engineers and technicians as required.

• Participate in service-related projects, equipment enhancement initiatives, emergency response activities, and other technical assignments to support business and customer needs.

Position Requirements:

Education Level:

• Dipl. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

• Dipl. in Process Instrumentation

• Dipl. in Mechatronics Engineering

Experience:

• 5-10 years of experience in service or engineering roles within the Oil & Gas or Process industries.

• Hands-on experience with instrumentation equipment and instrument measurements.

• Marine industry experience will be advantageous.
