ATLAS COPCO (PHILIPPINES), INC. is seeking a skilled Electrical/Mechanical Field Service Technician to maximize customer satisfaction through on-site service, repairs, and preventive maintenance of air compressors and related equipment.

The role involves on-site visits, troubleshooting, and reporting, with a focus on first-time fixes and safety compliance. Candidates should possess a strong electrical background, be willing to travel to customer sites, and hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/ECE or related field.
Strong electrical background with troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair experience.
Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
Experience with motor control systems and industrial automation is an advantage.
Willingness to travel to customer sites and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

On arrival, inform the person-in-charge before any jobs to avoid production interruptions.
Implement correct working methods and use proper tools following safety rules.
Carry out service, repairs, maintenance and overhaul of air compressors and related equipment.
Test run and monitor serviced units; record readings to ensure proper operation.
Write reports of jobs and recommend follow-up actions if needed.
Maintain cleanliness at compressor room and surrounding area.
Record time spent in field and workshop; provide timely feedback on work orders.
Collaborate with sales/project teams to satisfy customer needs.

Mission:

To maximize customer satisfaction on our service quality and capability, by providing professional field service and consultancy while promoting service products to generate service NIS. To carry out service, repairs, maintenance and overhaul of air compressors and related industrial equipment.

Job Description:

On-Site

On arrival at the customer’s premise inform the person-in-charge before any jobs are being carried out, to avoid interruptions in production or any other business interruptions.
Implement correct working methods, use correct tools and observe all safety rules and regulations.
Collection of local purchase parts from suppliers for service jobs
Carry out daily jobs as assigned / instructed by the Supervisor / Manager
Follow all instructions given in the scope of works as per service work order
Test run and monitor serviced units, record all readings to ensure units are running at satisfactory conditions
Write reports of jobs carried out on the service work order or recommend any follow-up actions if needed.
Explain to customer if any follow up or repair jobs are needed
Maintain cleanliness at compressor room and surrounding area before leaving customer’s premise.

Records / maintenance and feedback

Feedback to supervisor / manager on follow up actions required
Provide technical and quality feedback to the technical specialist according to customer’s feedback
Record all time spent in the field, workshop and other activities
Timely and correct feedback on work orders, weekly report and monthly report;
Working closely with sales team & project team to satisfy customer;
Maintain proper PPEs’ being issued, ensure service vehicle is in good and clean condition, upkeep personal tools & equipment and workshop area
Ensure proper usage and maintenance of all workshop equipment or measuring equipment.

Others

Use of MAM (Mobile Asset Management Tool)
Work closely with Service Planners and Service Supervisors
Objective to complete each job first time fix

Experience

Strong electrical background with experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electromechanical equipment.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
Knowledge of motor control systems, VFDs, electrical panels, and industrial automation systems is an advantage.
Experience working in a workshop repair and field service environment, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
Adaptable and willing to adjust work schedules based on customer requirements, including evening or weekend work.
Proactive, self-driven, and accountable in addressing customer needs and delivering solutions.
Proficient in using technology to improve efficiency and productivity.
Holds a valid driver's license and is willing to travel to customer sites.
Strong work management, customer relationship, retention, coaching, and mentoring skills.
Good product and technical knowledge.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Mechanical Engineering (BSME), Electronics and Communications Engineering (BSECE), or a related field.

Technical Skills:

Computer proficient.
Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
