Job summary

Scientific Biotech Specialties, Inc. seeks a field service technician for a five-month contract in Metro Manila. You will install, validate, and commission instruments, troubleshoot on-site, and provide customer training and support.

You'll work directly with customers, perform repairs, and ensure equipment operates to spec, with mobility across Metro Manila and nearby areas. Fresh graduates are welcome; 1 year preferred. Strong problem-solving and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/College degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates welcome; 1 year of relevant engineering experience preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving; computer literate; hardware knowledge.
• Willing to travel to Metro Manila, particularly Metro North area.
• Strong client-facing communication and ability to work independently in field.

Responsibilities

About the Role

In this contractual role of five (5) months, you will provide hands-on technical support for the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic and communication equipment. You will work closely with customers at their locations to ensure reliable equipment operation, timely technical support, and a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Installation, Validation & Commissioning

• Provide on-site installation, validation, testing, and commissioning of instruments and electronic equipment.

• Ensure equipment is properly configured, operational, and compliant with required specifications.

• Conduct hands-on technical activities at customer sites as required.

Technical Troubleshooting & Repair

• Perform hands-on troubleshooting, diagnostics, service, and repairs of instruments and related electronic equipment.

• Identify technical issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.

• Apply strong problem-solving skills to resolve equipment and system-related concerns.

Customer Technical Support

• Provide high-level technical support to external customers at their locations.

• Respond professionally to customer technical concerns and ensure issues are properly addressed.

• Communicate technical information clearly to customers and internal teams.

Customer Training & Technical Assistance

• Provide on-site training to customers on the proper operation, handling, and basic troubleshooting of instruments and equipment.

• Guide customers in the appropriate use and maintenance of equipment to promote reliable performance.

What We Are Looking For

Must-Haves

• Education: Bachelor's/College Degree in Electronics Engineering or an equivalent field.

• Experience: Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Preferably with at least 1 year of experience in Engineering - Electronics/Communication or a related field.

• Technical Skills: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; computer literate; knowledgeable in computer hardware.

• Mobility: Willing to work and conduct field assignments in Metro Manila, particularly Metro North area.

• Core Competencies: Strong technical aptitude, customer-service orientation, attention to detail, effective communication, and ability to work independently in field environments.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in electronics, communications, instrumentation, or technical field service.

• Experience with on-site installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of instruments or electronic equipment.

• Experience providing technical training or support directly to customers.
