Job summary

Anton Paar Philippines is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide on-site service across product lines, including preventive maintenance, calibration, installation and training. You will handle technical support, troubleshooting, and repairs, while coordinating maintenance contracts and service quotations in the CRM.

The role requires engineering background, 3+ years in hardware support, strong problem-solving, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Engineering or equivalent.
• Three years’ experience in Hardware support or repair work.
• Three or more years experience in customer facing role.
• High technical and analytical problem solving skills.
• Self-employment and good organizational skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Fluency in English.
• Must possess a current and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site service including preventive maintenance, calibration, installation and training.
• Perform on-site troubleshooting, service and repairs.
• Evaluate malfunctioning instruments and prepare repair cost estimates.
• Coordinate on-site repairs and preventive maintenance per procedures and standards.
• Offer maintenance contracts and create service contract quotations in CRM.
• Perform factory calibrations (ISO 17025, if required).
• Create and maintain service reports in CRM.
• Ensure service tools are calibrated and up to date.
• Interfacing with cross-functional teams across the company.
• Provide on-site basic training to customers.
• Log support tickets and service orders in CRM Service.
• Manage warehouse/stock responsibilities.
• Cross-sell to Sales when instruments need replacement.
• Attend Anton Paar service trainings for relevant product lines.
• Substitute for other Field Service Engineers as needed.

Job Description:

We are currently strengthening our service-team and looking for a highly-motivated customer-oriented person, with excellent problem-solving skills.

As Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible to provide on-site service including preventive maintenance, calibration, installation and training across all product lines.

Responsibilities:

Essential functions

• Providing technical support to customers via telephone and email.
• Performing on-site troubleshooting, service and repairs.
• Evaluating malfunctioning instruments and preparing estimates for the cost of repair.
• Coordinating and performing onsite repairs and preventive maintenances according to established procedures and standards.
• Offering maintenance contracts to customers and creating the service contract quotation in the CRM.
• Performing factory calibrations (ISO 17025, if required).
• Creating and maintaining service reports in the CRM.
• Ensuring that all necessary personal service tools for the performance of a service are valid and up to date in terms of condition and calibration needs.
• Interfacing with cross functional work teams such as applications, customer support/services, product management, manufacturing and marketing/sales.
• Providing on-site basic training to the customers.
• Completing administrative tasks associated with the CRM service module as to log all support ticket and service orders in the CRM Service.
• Taking responsibility for personal warehouse/stock.
• Cross selling to Sales Representatives when instruments need to be replaced. – Cross selling initiative
• Attending all necessary Anton Paar service trainings for the relevant product lines.
• Substituting for other Field Service Engineers within the country, if necessary.

Your profile:

Required Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Graduate of Engineering or equivalent
• Three years’ experience in Hardware support or repair work
