Job summary

Ermano Lending Corporation is seeking a Field Collection Officer to securely collect loan payments, monitor accounts, and conduct scheduled field visits to borrowers in designated areas. The role requires strong verbal communication, basic math, and the ability to travel daily; you will document transactions, issue receipts, and report issues to supervisors.

The position is based in Cebu City, with field travel across assigned collection areas.

Qualifications

• Senior High School graduate; college level preferred.
• Experience in collections, sales, field operations, lending, microfinance, or customer service is an advantage.
• Willing to conduct daily field work.
• Good communication skills.
• Basic mathematical ability.
• Able to use smartphone/mobile applications.
• Able to travel within assigned collection areas.
• Physically capable of performing regular field duties.
• Previous lending collection experience preferred.
• Knowledge of local communities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review assigned accounts before field activities, including borrower details, due dates, and balances.
• Organize daily collection route according to priority and location.
• Visit borrowers to remind payments, collect payments, and confirm amounts.
• Record every payment and issue receipts or acknowledgments.
• Record unsuccessful collection attempts and schedule follow-ups.
• Review borrower payment history and determine non-payment reasons.
• Obtain and record promise-to-pay commitments and follow up accordingly.
• Safeguard funds and remit collections per policy.
• Direct borrowers to authorized payment channels and verify payment references.
• Document each field visit with all relevant details and observations.
