POSITION TITLE : FIELD ENGINEER
DEPARTMENT : ENGINEERING
REPORTING TO : PROJECT ENGINEER / AREA MANAGER / PROJECTS AND OPERATIONS MANAGER / CEO AND PRESIDENT
The Field Engineer is responsible for supervising and monitoring day-to-day construction activities on-site. The role ensures that all work is carried out according to approved plans, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules while maintaining a safe working environment.
Internal: All Departments
External: Clients, Consultants, Subcontractors, and Suppliers
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's/College Degree in Civil Engineering.
At least one (1) to two (2) years of experience in field engineering, site supervision, or a related engineering role.
Knowledgeable in residential fit-out projects.
Technically proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and other engineering software.
Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Must be self-driven, highly competent, and responsible.
Knowledge of construction methods, quality control, and safety standards.
Licensed Civil Engineer is an advantage.
1. Site Supervision & Project Execution
Supervise daily construction activities and ensure work is performed according to approved plans and specifications.
Monitor project progress and ensure activities are completed within the approved schedule.
Coordinate with subcontractors and project teams to resolve site issues promptly.
2. Quality Control & Inspection
Conduct site inspections to verify workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
Ensure materials and completed works meet quality standards before acceptance.
Report non-conforming works and recommend corrective actions.
3. Coordination & Documentation
Coordinate with the Project Engineer, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding project requirements.
Prepare daily accomplishment reports, inspection reports, and other project documentation.
Assist in material verification, quantity checking, and monitoring of site deliveries.
Provide backup relief for other team members and perform ad hoc tasks that may be assigned from time to time to support the department and the company.
Ensure compliance with company policies, project requirements, and occupational health and safety regulations.
