Job summary

MicroSourcing in Manila, Philippines, is seeking a Fiber Scheduler for a remote, shift-based role. The position focuses on developing and maintaining a scheduling system to track fiber infrastructure projects and ensure adherence to deadlines.

Your Role

• Develop, implement, and maintain a robust scheduling management system to track the lifecycle of fiber infrastructure projects.
• Review progressed schedules against hard deadlines, identifying potential delays early and facilitating remedial action to keep projects on track.
• Coordinate daily with supervisors and field crews to schedule Fiber work and Fiber SMOPs, ensuring all technical requirements are met before deployment.
• Monitor project progress by identifying critical path activities and reviewing forecast dates against actual achievement milestones.
• Participate in high-level operational meetings and provide technical input during project estimation, bidding, contract negotiations, and change order preparation.
• Navigate and update Comcast P2 systems to manage job flows, crew assignments, and project status updates.
• Utilize specialized software such as ACAD, Designer, and Google Earth to verify project site details and spatial constraints.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Technical System Proficiency: Mastery of Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe is required, along with experience using Teams for cross-functional collaboration.
• Specialized Software Skills: Demonstrated ability to use ACAD (AutoCAD), Designer, and Google Earth for scheduling and site analysis.
• Comcast P2 Access/Experience: Proven ability to interact with and manage data within Comcast P2 systems.
• Operational Communication: Exceptional ability to interact with senior management, field crews, and customers to negotiate schedules and resolve conflicts.
• Analytical Oversight: Strong capability to identify critical activities and develop remedial strategies for complex fiber network timelines.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Prior experience specifically managing Fiber SMOPs and fiber optic network construction workflows.
• Background in project estimation and the preparation of complex change orders within the telecommunications sector.
• Advanced ability to interpret design documents and maps to forecast realistic achievement dates.
• Proven track record in a fast-paced field operations environment where crew coordination is a daily priority.
• Strong organizational skills with a commitment to maintaining real-time accuracy in scheduling databases.
