Job summary

Hacienda Macalauan, Inc. in the Philippines seeks an experienced Farm Operations Manager specializing in dairy cattle. You will oversee validations of feed formulations, herd health programs, breeding and milking operations to ensure high-quality milk and cattle well-being.

You will lead field teams, manage calving, culling, and synchronization schedules, and ensure production efficiency while maintaining bio-security and safety standards across the farm.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee feed formulations validations and forecasting.

Job description

Responsible for validations of feed formulations for all the farms.

• Oversees over all feed requirements/ingredients base on forecasted rolling herd

populations.

• Responsible for validations and executions of all herd health programs.

• Accountable for breeding programs Including selection/culling, breeding

synchronizations, bull recommendations (with prior approval of top management) and Al technician’s internal skill training.

• Responsible for over- all management practices in producing healthy replacement

heifers.

• Responsible for overseeing safe and sound pregnant herd, calving, and fresh cow

handling activities in the farm.

• Accountable for overall milking operations covering manpower competencies,

machine/equipment working conditions and afimilk data base analysis.

• Oversees proper operations, utilizations, and maintenance of all farm equipment,

implements and tools in the farm.

• Accountable for planning and execution of efficient field operations to achieve best

crop yields at least possible production costs.

• Accountable for production of good quality silage.

• Responsible for over-all farm operation efficiency through manpower competency

assessment and execution of training/orientation needed for farm hands.

• Attends and reviews personnel’s concerns/ grievances and report/discuss, if needed, to

HRs office.

• Coordinate (HR) and execute disciplinary actions accordingly to maintain orderliness in

the farm.

• Responsible for coordination (EHS), monitoring and isolation/elimination of over-all

occupational hazards in the farm.

• Ensures that bio-security measures are observed in the farm.

• Responsible for execution of culling standards (with Top Management

Approval), ensures cull management and feeding practices adhered (including steers

and small ruminants) and oversees weighing and proper documentation of animal sales.
