Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural).
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues promptly.

About the role

Walls in Motion, Inc. is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team in Pasig City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal functioning and longevity of our building systems, equipment, and facilities. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing preventative measures to keep our operations running smoothly. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-maintained work environment for all staff and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues in a timely and professional manner

• Conduct preventative maintenance checks to identify potential problems before they become costly repairs

• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance work performed, including parts used and time spent on each task

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair calls

• Perform basic carpentry, painting, and general building repairs as needed

• Ensure all work areas are kept clean and tidy, and properly dispose of waste materials

• Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools safely and effectively

• Collaborate with contractors and suppliers to complete larger maintenance projects

• Report any safety hazards or building code violations to management

• Assist with facility improvements and upgrades as directed

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Maintenance Technician, Building Maintenance Worker, or similar role in the maintenance and handyperson services industry

• Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general carpentry

• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools, and ability to operate them safely

• Sound understanding of basic electrical and plumbing principles

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• Ability to work independently and take initiative in identifying and completing maintenance tasks

• Excellent time management and organisational skills

• Good communication skills and ability to interact professionally with colleagues and clients

• Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items, work at heights, and perform tasks requiring flexibility

• Valid driver's license is advantageous

• Relevant certifications or qualifications in maintenance, electrical work, or plumbing are preferred

• Experience with preventative maintenance programmes is highly desirable
