What this job involves:

A Facilities Engineer is responsible for maintaining, operating, and improving building systems and infrastructure to ensure optimal facility performance, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Building Systems Management Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and security systems.
• Monitor facilities maintenance and energy management systems to optimize performance and identify issues before they become critical problems.
• Preventive Maintenance Programs Develop and execute comprehensive maintenance schedules for all building equipment and systems.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and ensure compliance with manufacturer warranties and service agreements.
• Project Management Lead facility improvement projects including space renovations, system upgrades, and equipment replacements.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and contractor relationships while ensuring minimal disruption to building operations.
• Compliance and Safety Ensure facilities meet all local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
• Conduct regular inspections, maintain required certifications, and coordinate with regulatory agencies during audits or inspections.
• Energy Management Monitor utility consumption, identify energy efficiency opportunities, and implement sustainability initiatives.
• Analyze energy data to reduce operational costs and support corporate environmental goals.
• Emergency Response Respond to facility emergencies including power outages, equipment failures, and environmental issues.
• Maintain emergency procedures and coordinate with first responders when necessary.

Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Facilities Management, or related field.
