Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain generator, lighting, and electrical systems.
• Operate generator during power interruptions.
• Diagnose problems and repair/replace defective parts.
• Read electrical drawings such as single line diagrams and load schedules.
• Respond quickly when a breakdown occurs.
• Inspect electrical services (220V and 400V three-phase).
• Install/replace fixtures, switches, wiring and related components.
• Operate power tools and trenchers for installations and repairs.
• Monitor incoming power supply voltage from utility (Meralco).
• Keep records/logs of power consumption and maintenance.
• Provide guidance to less experienced personnel.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform other tasks as directed by supervisor.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Industrial/Facility Electrician is responsible for a wide range of tasks related to the setup and maintenance of electrical infrastructure.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Keep generator, lighting, and electrical systems in working order.
• Operate generator during power interruption.
• Diagnose problems and then repair/replace defective parts.
• Can read electrical drawing such as single line diagram, load schedules, wire sizes etc.
• Need to act quickly when a breakdown occurs.
• Make periodic inspection for new and old electrical services (220v and 400v three phase), including wiring, conduit, panels, breakers, contactors, relays, timers and controls.
• Performs electrical maintenance and repair work; install/replace fixtures, switches, receptacles and wiring.
• Operates a variety of standard power tools, equipment and trenchers in electrical installations, maintenance and repair activities on a regular basis.
• Closely monitor incoming power supply voltage from Meralco
• Regular check the temperature for all terminal lugs for possible loose connections, retighten if required
• Maintains records and logs as needed. (such as daily power consumption for every department)
• Provides guidance and direction to less experienced personnel and others assigned to his/her position.
• Keep working area clean and safe
• Perform other various tasks as instructed by immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid license to practice profession
• Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician
• Proven experience as an electrician
