Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the facilities, construction, renovation, and maintenance requirements on behalf of a leading multinational dialysis service provider. The role will be responsible for ensuring that both newly developed and acquired dialysis centers are properly constructed, maintained, improved, and operationally ready.
About the Role
The Facilities Manager will oversee both greenfield projects, where the company develops dialysis centers from the ground up, and acquired facilities, where the role will assess existing sites and oversee necessary renovations, repairs, upgrades, and other facility improvements.
The successful candidate must be a licensed or qualified Engineer with strong experience in construction, project management, facilities management, and contractor/vendor management. Experience in managing technical building systems, including MEP, generators, electrical systems, water facilities, and waste management, will be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
Construction & Project Management
- Oversee the planning, development, construction, fit-out, and completion of greenfield dialysis center projects from the ground up.
- Manage construction and facility improvement projects, ensuring that timelines, quality standards, budgets, and project requirements are met.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and other project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor project progress to ensure compliance with approved plans and requirements.
- Identify and resolve construction, technical, and facilities-related issues that may affect project completion.
Acquired Facility Assessment & Improvements
- Assess the condition of existing/acquired dialysis centers and identify required repairs, renovations, upgrades, and facility improvements.
- Develop and oversee improvement plans based on the technical and operational requirements of each site.
- Manage renovation, repair, fit-out, and rehabilitation works for acquired facilities.
- Ensure that facilities are safe, functional, compliant, and suitable for ongoing healthcare operations.
Facilities & Technical Management
- Oversee facilities management requirements across dialysis centers nationwide.
- Manage and monitor building and facility systems, including:
- Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems
- Generators and power-related systems
- HVAC and other building systems
- Water supply and water-related facilities
- Waste management systems
- General building and facility infrastructure
- Establish and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance requirements across multiple locations.
- Ensure facility-related concerns are properly assessed, prioritized, and resolved.
Nationwide & Multi-Site Management
- Oversee facilities requirements across multiple dialysis centers nationwide.
- Conduct regular or as-needed field visits to centers within NCR and other locations across the Philippines.
- Monitor the condition and maintenance requirements of different sites and ensure timely action on facility concerns.
- Coordinate remotely with site teams, contractors, and service providers to address operational and project requirements.
Vendor & Contractor Management
- Source, coordinate, and manage contractors, suppliers, and service providers for construction and facilities-related requirements.
- Negotiate with vendors and contractors to ensure competitive pricing, quality of work, and timely project delivery.
- Evaluate contractor performance and ensure adherence to agreed project specifications and timelines.
- Maintain strong working relationships with external contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Team Management
- Lead and manage a team of two (2) facilities staff members.
- Delegate responsibilities and monitor the team's performance and completion of facilities-related activities.
- Provide guidance and technical support to the team as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must be an Engineer, preferably with a relevant engineering degree and professional license.
- Ideally has approximately 10 years of relevant experience in facilities management, construction, engineering, or project management.
- Strong experience in construction, fit-out, building development, and project management.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects from the ground up, preferably greenfield construction projects.
- Experience handling existing/acquired facilities, including site assessment, renovation, repair, and facility improvement.
- Strong technical knowledge of building and facility systems, particularly:
- MEP systems
- Electrical systems and generators
- HVAC
- Plumbing and water systems
- Waste management
- Proven experience managing contractors, suppliers, and vendors, including contract negotiation and project coordination.
- Experience managing multiple sites or facilities simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness and ability to conduct field visits and travel nationwide as required.
- Comfortable managing projects and coordinating with contractors and site teams remotely.
- Strong communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
