The Facilities Engineer will be responsible for the facility upkeep, equipment uptime, preventive maintenance, management of service contracts, and timely resolution of tenant concerns. He/She will ensure all civil, sanitary, and plumbing systems operate safe, reliable, and efficient at all times.
Key responsibilities
- Manages the overall upkeep and good condition of civil structures, plumbing, and sanitary facilities.
- Monitors system performance and ensures continuous equipment uptime.
- Conducts regular inspections to identify issues early and prevent service interruptions.
- Executes corrective repairs promptly to maintain full operational readiness.
- Develops, implements, and strictly follows preventive maintenance schedules for all related facilities and equipment.
- Performs routine checks, servicing, and replacements to avoid breakdowns and extend equipment life.
- Documents all maintenance activities and tracks completion status.
- Oversees and monitors the performance of service contracts with maintenance providers and vendors.
- Receives, documents, and responds promptly to tenant concerns and service requests related to civil, plumbing, and sanitary systems.
- Ensures all maintenance works comply with building codes, health standards, and safety regulations.
About you
- Must be a graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Sanitary Engineering, or a related field.
- Must have a Registered Civil Engineer or Registered Sanitary Engineer credential.
- Must have at least 5 years of experience with two (2) years in a supervisory capacity in property management, building maintenance, or construction.
- Must have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of construction and renovation practices, including materials, methods, and regulations.
- Must demonstrate strong knowledge of plumbing, sanitary systems, drainage design, and building codes.
- Must be familiar with water supply systems, pumps, water treatment, and wastewater management.
- Must be proficient in reading technical drawings and preparing cost estimates.
- Must possess strong problem-solving and emergency response skills.
- Must be detail-oriented and cost-conscious.
- Must be flexible, reliable, and willing to work extended hours when necessary, rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and remain on-call 24/7 for emergency response.
