Job summary

BENSON INDUSTRIAL COLD STORAGE INC. in Tunasan, Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila, is seeking a Facilities and HVAC Supervisor to oversee maintenance and optimisation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems within our cold storage facilities.

You will supervise maintenance staff, coordinate repairs, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards to keep facilities operating at peak efficiency for our logistics operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as HVAC technician or facilities maintenance supervisor in industrial or cold storage.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, compressors and related equipment.
• EPA HVAC certification or similar credential is highly desirable.
• Supervisory experience with ability to train, motivate and manage maintenance teams.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems and basic plumbing maintenance.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose complex equipment malfunctions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate maintenance records.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate maintenance and repair of HVAC systems across facility zones to ensure optimal temperature and humidity control.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on refrigeration units and related equipment to minimise downtime.
• Monitor facility electrical, plumbing, and structural health and safety systems.
• Manage and train facilities maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and SOPs.
• Respond promptly to equipment failures and emergencies to maintain business continuity.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to extend equipment lifespan, and maintain maintenance records.
• Liaise with external contractors for specialised repairs and upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety standards and building codes.
• Prepare reports on facilities status, maintenance costs and improvement recommendations.
• Maintain inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.

About the role

BENSON INDUSTRIAL COLD STORAGE INC. is seeking a Facilities and HVAC Supervisor to join our operations team in Tunasan, Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in maintaining the operational excellence and safety standards of our industrial cold storage facilities. As Facilities and HVAC Supervisor, you will oversee the maintenance, repair and optimisation of our heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, whilst ensuring all facilities operate at peak efficiency. This role is essential to supporting our logistics operations and maintaining the controlled environments required for our cold storage services.

What you'll be doing

• Supervise and coordinate the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems across all facility zones to ensure optimal temperature and humidity control
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on refrigeration units, compressors, and related equipment to minimise downtime
• Monitor facility infrastructure including electrical systems, plumbing, structural integrity and safety equipment
• Manage and train facilities maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and standard operating procedures
• Respond promptly to equipment failures and emergency maintenance issues to maintain business continuity
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and strategies to extend equipment lifespanMaintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, costs and equipment performance metrics
• Liaise with external contractors and vendors for specialised repairs and equipment upgrades
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, health and safety standards, and building codes
• Prepare reports on facilities status, maintenance costs and recommendations for improvements

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as an HVAC technician or facilities maintenance supervisor in an industrial or cold storage environment (minimum 2 years)
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, compressors and related mechanical equipment
• Certification in HVAC maintenance or equivalent technical qualification (EPA certification or similar credential is highly desirable)
• Supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to train, motivate and manage maintenance teams
• Sound understanding of electrical systems and basic plumbing maintenance
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose complex equipment malfunctions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental compliance requirements relevant to industrial facilities
• Proficiency with maintenance management software and digital reporting tools
• Physical capability to perform hands‑on maintenance work and inspect high and confined spaces
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams
• Willingness to be on-call for emergency maintenance issues outside standard working hours
