Job summary

Deutsche Post is seeking an Expert – MDM, Rate card loading in Manila. The role ensures accurate rate loading for global rate cards, managing handovers between Growth and Operations and resolving country-specific issues with pricing specialists and tender managers.

You will collaborate with Growth, Operations, Pricing, Tender Management, and country teams to improve speed, accuracy, documentation quality, and overall service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in any discipline.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, logistics, rates management, pricing support, operations support or a comparable service delivery environment.
• Good understanding of freight forwarding concepts, rate structures and country/network dependencies.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to validate data and follow through on missing inputs.
• Proficiency in MS Office; Excel knowledge is preferred for rate validation and reporting.
• Knowledge of CargoWise/TMS or similar platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Expert – MDM, Rate card loading

Job Location: Manila

The Rate Card Loading Expert is responsible for ensuring efficient, accurate and timely rate loading support for global rate cards. The role manages the handover from Growth to Operations, clarifies open items with pricing specialists and tender managers, troubleshoots country-specific issues, and supports agents in resolving rate loading challenges. This role acts as a bridge between Growth, Operations, Pricing, Tender Management, countries and agents to improve speed, accuracy, documentation quality and overall service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the handover process from Growth to Operations, ensuring all required details, ownership, timelines and dependencies are clearly captured before operational execution.

• Clarify open points with tender managers to ensure rate card requirements, assumptions, exceptions and commercial inputs are complete and actionable.

• Troubleshoot country-specific issues related to global rate cards, including data gaps, rate inconsistencies, configuration concerns and implementation blockers.

• Support Rate Loading Team with rate loading challenges by providing guidance, issue resolution support, process clarification and escalation coordination where required.

• Drive speed and accuracy of rate loading by monitoring execution quality, identifying recurring errors and supporting corrective actions to reduce rework and delays.

• Actively follow up on missing rates, incomplete inputs and pending clarifications to minimize operational impact and support timely completion of loading activities.

• Manage team documentation, best practice sharing and lessons learned, ensuring knowledge is maintained, accessible and consistently applied across the team.

• Support rate loading automation activities by providing process knowledge, test support, business input, issue validation and feedback for continuous improvement.

• Maintain compliance with agreed SOPs, KPIs, process controls and escalation procedures related to rate card loading and operational handover.

• Collaborate proactively with internal stakeholders and country teams to address risks, resolve exceptions and provide clear status updates on open items.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Graduate (Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in any discipline).

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding, logistics, rates management, pricing support, operations support or a comparable service delivery environment.

• Good understanding of freight forwarding concepts, rate structures, operational handover requirements and country/network dependencies.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to validate data, identify rate inconsistencies and follow through on missing or incomplete inputs.

• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate with tender managers, country teams, operations and Rate Loading Team.

• Customer-focused and service-oriented mindset, with proactive communication and ownership of open issues until resolution.

• Analytical and problem-solving ability, especially in troubleshooting rate card issues, process gaps and recurring loading errors.

• Proficiency in MS Office; strong Excel knowledge is preferred for rate validation, tracking, reporting and analysis.

• Knowledge of relevant freight forwarding business systems such as CargoWise/TMS or similar platforms is preferred.

• Good written and spoken English communication skills; able to provide clear updates, document issues and explain process requirements.

• Team player with the ability to share best practices, maintain documentation and contribute to continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
