Job summary

Macquarie Bank Limited in the Philippines seeks a Chartered Accountant to maintain a robust financial control environment and lead a high-performing team across the group. You will deliver core accounting processes with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

You will apply IFRS to complex transactions, manage month-end close, and oversee statutory, regulatory, and tax reporting while partnering with the business to strengthen internal controls and drive efficiency.

Qualifications

  • CA with 2–4 years of experience in technical accounting, IFRS knowledge, and ability to apply accounting treatments to complex transactions.
  • Advanced financial reporting and analysis including month-end close and statutory/tax reporting.
  • Sound payroll and benefits accounting knowledge with strong reconciliation and financial controls.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will help maintain a strong financial control environment across our global organisation while leading an inclusive and high-performing team. You will be responsible for delivering key processes, driving operational excellence, and ensuring effective process ownership. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the business, gaining deep insight into the functions and teams you support.

What you offer
  • CA with minimum 2-4 years of experience in technical accounting, with a deep understanding of IFRS and the ability to assess and apply appropriate accounting treatments to complex business transactions.
  • Advanced financial reporting and analysis capabilities, including month-end close, balance sheet management, and statutory, regulatory, and tax reporting.
  • Sound payroll and benefits accounting knowledge, supported by strong reconciliation and financial control skills.
  • Proven ability to drive process improvement, lead projects, and enhance operational efficiency and internal controls.
  • Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and problem-solving skills, with strong planning and prioritisation abilities to deliver high-quality outcomes in a dynamic environment.
