Job summary

Jindal Stainless Limited is seeking an experienced RMHS - Mechanical professional to oversee mechanical systems and equipment for mining and metals operations. You will drive design, development, and maintenance initiatives to ensure reliability and efficiency across plant machinery.

Lead maintenance activities, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with production, quality, and safety teams to meet operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and equipment within RMHS to support mining and metals operations.
• Manage and supervise mechanical maintenance activities to ensure optimal plant performance and minimal downtime.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for mechanical failures to improve reliability and safety.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and safety to align solutions with operational goals.
• Develop and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with standards and policies.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and project proposals for decision-making and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and equipment to reduce costs and improve processes.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations in all activities.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians to build a capable mechanical engineering team.
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors for procurement, installation, and commissioning of equipment.
