Job summary

NUSTAR Resort in Cebu City seeks an experienced Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical) to lead a shift team responsible for Operations and Maintenance of HVAC and electrical systems across the property. You will supervise technicians, manage safety, budgets, and project tasks, coordinating with engineering and facilities teams to ensure reliable service and guest comfort.

3-4 years of relevant experience in an industrial or hospitality setting preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical).
• Experience in an industrial or hospitality environment preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments (heat, noise, lifting, shift work).
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise the shift team of technicians for operations and maintenance of HVAC and electrical systems.
• Oversee power generators, substation, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, STP, boilers, AHUs, and BMS.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Prepare maintenance reports and coordinate with stakeholders for spares and procurement.
• Adapt to business needs and meet operational requirements as directed.

Experienced on managing/supervising team of technicians during the shift with regards to Operations and Maintenance of the following HVAC and Electrical Systems:

• Power Generators
• Power Substation
• Chillers
• Cooling Towers
• Pumps
• Sewage Treatment Plant
• Boilers
• Air Handling Units
• Fire Pumps
• FDAS
• BMS
• UPS for Critical Equipment
• Energy Utility and Management

Perform such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by his/her superior, management, or the Company from time to time, including tasks necessary to meet business exigencies, operational requirements, and the legitimate needs of the organization.
