Job Description

The Estimator plays a key role in supporting the Client specialist window screening projects that are fitted both on the inside and outside of buildings. The position is responsible for producing accurate material and labour take‑off and scheduling, preparing structured cost estimates, and supporting the wider team with essential administrative tasks. The role requires solid construction industry experience and the confidence to communicate with customers in a professional, sales‑aware manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce accurate material and labour take‑offs from drawings, specification descriptions, and site information. This forms a main part of the role, comprising of digitally measuring sizes from plans and extracting information from construction drawings and then listing them within an excel spreadsheet.

• Prepare clear, well‑structured quotations and assist with pricing for new and ongoing projects.

• Communicate professionally where required with contractors, architects, and clients where required to clarify requirements and support the sales process.

• Carry out administrative duties including order processing, documentation, scheduling, and general office support.

• Work closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure estimates align with project timelines, product capabilities, and Enviroscreen standards.

• EA support to management

Qualifications and requirements

Required Experience & Skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and produce accurate take‑offs.

• Strong communication skills with a confident, customer‑friendly, sales‑aware approach.

• Competent with Microsoft Office Excel and general administrative processes.

• High attention to detail and a methodical, organised working style.

• Strong English speaking

Desirable Experience

• Proven experience within the construction industry, ideally in working with the products we offer or another specialist systems that has helped developed an understanding of which information is key to extract from the drawings in order to establish accurate costs for the work involved.

• Experience with window blinds, screens, windows, external shading and ventilation louvres or similar interior systems.

• Familiarity with estimating software or digital take‑off tools.

• Understanding of procurement processes and supplier coordination.

• Willingness to support in other information gathering activities where required such as for marketing purposes when the estimating workload is at a reduced level.

Non-negotiable skills and requirements

• 2-3 years related experience
• Construction industry experience
