Job summary

Archipelago Builders Corporation is seeking an Estimating Head to supervise the estimating team and handle bids and project budgets. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in civil engineering in a managerial role, with a demonstrated ability to conduct project inspections and prepare estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering (Civil) required.
• 10+ years of experience in civil/construction/structural engineering.
• Experience in a managerial position preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and bid documents.
• Prepare detailed estimates and project schedules.
• Conduct project site inspections.
• Supervise junior estimators and conduct kick-off meetings.

Job description

Estimating Head

Responsibilities

• Study / review plans and bid documents
• Measure quantities and make detailed estimate in excel file
• Prepare bid queries and clarification with consultant
• Request quotation from supplier
• Prepare bill of quantities and costing
• Prepare cost analysis and project schedule
• Prepare & finalized technical proposal
• Prepare & finalized financial proposal w/ the president's approval
• Attend pre-bid and post bid meetings
• Conduct project site inspection
• Supervise estimator/qs/asst. Head
• Attend negotiation meeting
• Prepare project budget (abbc)
• Maintain an orderly and systematic records and files
• Prepare and conduct kick-off meeting with project team

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering (Civil), Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam - Licensed Civil Engineer) is required.
• With more than 10 Years experienced employee specialized in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.
• With more than 10 Years or more experienced handling a managerial position in the same field is preferred - employee specialized in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.
• Solid organizational skills including strong analytical, communication, presentation skills as well as an eye for detail and multitasking skills; Results-oriented, team-player with strong interpersonal skills;
• Willing to be assigned in Quezon City (Head Office Based); amenable to commute / relocate or living near / within Quezon City;
