Job summary

China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation Philippine Branch is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support a World Bank-funded school retrofit project in Metro Manila. You will help ensure environmental compliance, implement the EMP, and oversee site safety while delivering accurate ESHS reporting throughout project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Valid DENR-EMB Pollution Control Officer Accreditation.
• Experience in environmental monitoring, EMP implementation, and safety management.
• Familiarity with DENR and DOLE compliance and ESHS reporting.
• Strong English communication and report writing.
• OSH Practitioner qualification is highly preferred.
• Experience in World Bank, ADB, JICA, or other foreign-assisted infrastructure projects is a strong advantage.
• Willingness to sign a Certification of Commitment for the bid submission.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the project Environmental Management Plan (EMP).
• Conduct environmental monitoring and support compliance activities across construction sites.
• Manage and monitor construction site safety requirements in coordination with the project team and contractors.
• Prepare accurate and timely ESHS reports and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with relevant DENR, DENR-EMB, and DOLE requirements.
• Coordinate environmental and occupational health and safety activities with project stakeholders.
• Support the project team in addressing environmental and safety risks, observations, and corrective actions.
• Maintain records required for project compliance, monitoring, and reporting.
