Job summary

Coherent Philippines Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced calibration technician to perform ESD equipment testing and maintain ISO-aligned documentation in a semiconductor manufacturing setting.

You will calibrate, audit EPAs, and support training initiatives while ensuring strict gowning and safety protocols in a cleanroom environment. Strong detail orientation and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in calibration and ESD control in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI/ESD S20.20 and SEMI standards.
• Experience maintaining calibration documentation in regulated environments.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and QA teams.
• Familiarity with cleanroom gowning and safety protocols.

Job description

• Perform calibration and functional testing of ESD control equipment including wrist straps, foot straps, ESD mats, ionizers, ESD monitors, and other sensitive ESD devices used in semiconductor industry.

• Maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments ensuring traceability to NIST or equivalent standards.

• Conduct routine inspections and audits of ESD protected areas (EPAs) to ensure compliance with semiconductor industry requirements.

• Document calibration data accurately and update the calibration database according to semiconductor quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001)

• Collaborate with engineers, quality, and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve ESD-related issues promptly.

• Support ESD awareness training programs to promote best practices among semiconductor industry personnel.

• Ensure strict adherence to cleanroom protocols and safety regulations while performing calibration tasks.

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in calibration and ESD control within a semiconductor manufacturing environment preferred.

• Strong knowledge of ANSI/ESD S20.20, SEMI standards, and cleanroom practices.

• Experience using calibration software and managing calibration documentation in a regulated environment.

• Excellent attention to detail and precision in handling sensitive equipment.

• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

• Semiconductor fab cleanroom environment requiring compliance with gowning and safety protocols.

• Use of precision calibration tools and test equipment.

• Standing and walking for extended periods; occasional lifting of calibration equipment.
