Job summary

AboitizPower in the Philippines is seeking an Environmental Safety Specialist (PCO) to serve as the primary technical expert for environmental compliance, hazardous chemical and waste management, and permitting. You will lead permit procurement, monitor facilities, and coordinate with DENR, EMB, and LGUs while promoting sustainable practices across our distribution and generation assets.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) or related science field.
Accredited Pollution Control Officer (PCO) by DENR-EMB; Registered Engineer preferred.
At least two years of experience in environmental management or industrial compliance.

Responsibilities

Manage environmental permits, clearances, and regulatory reports required by DENR, EMB, DOH, and LGUs.
Conduct monitoring and inspections of environmental and chemical hazards across sites.
Manage hazardous chemical handling, storage, transport, and disposal per legal and IMS procedures.
Ensure compliance with solid waste management laws and sustainability practices.
Conduct environmental audits and inspections and recommend mitigation plans.
