Job summary

Coherent Corp. in the Philippines seeks an Environmental Officer to ensure regulatory compliance for operations in Batangas. You will monitor waste, emissions, and wastewater, prepare reports, and coordinate inspections with DENR.

The role requires an accredited Pollution Control Officer and a strong background in environmental laws. You will lead training on compliance, drive pollution prevention initiatives, and coordinate corrective actions to uphold ICARE values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Accredited Pollution Control Officer certification as required by local regulations.
• Knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in environmental management and regulatory compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit requirements.
• Monitor waste management, emissions, wastewater, and other environmental aspects of operations.
• Prepare and submit environmental reports and regulatory documents.
• Coordinate environmental inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• Conduct environmental awareness and compliance training for employees.
• Liaise with government agencies, including DENR.
• Implement pollution prevention, resource conservation, and sustainability programs.
• Investigate environmental incidents and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
