Job summary

MANILA KLEAN FUEL CORP. in Pasig is seeking an Environmental Compliance Officer to ensure adherence to environmental laws and DENR regulations across our facilities.

You will manage ECC and LGU permits, monitor waste management and air emissions, coordinate with DENR and LGUs, and maintain records of permits, inspections, and submissions.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and relevant experience, with strong organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE OFFICER

What Will Be Your Role?

• Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws, regulations, and DENR requirements.

• Handle and monitor environmental permits and regulatory requirements, including Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC), DENR permits, and applicable LGU environmental clearances.

• Monitor environmental compliance of company facilities and operations and identify areas that may require corrective action.

• Coordinate with DENR, LGUs, and other government agencies regarding environmental inspections, permits, submissions, and compliance requirements.

• Assist in monitoring requirements related to waste management, pollution prevention, wastewater, air emissions, hazardous materials, and other applicable environmental concerns.

• Ensure that environmental reports, submissions, and required documentation are complete, accurate, and submitted within prescribed deadlines.

• Conduct or assist in environmental compliance inspections and site assessments to identify potential environmental risks and non-compliance.

• Coordinate with internal departments and site personnel to address environmental concerns and implement necessary corrective actions.

• Monitor the validity of environmental permits, certificates, registrations, and other regulatory requirements across assigned locations.

• Maintain organized records of environmental permits, monitoring reports, inspections, submissions, and compliance documents.

• Stay updated on changes in environmental laws, DENR regulations, and regulatory requirements that may affect company operations.

• Support the implementation of programs and practices that promote environmental protection, pollution prevention, proper waste management, and regulatory compliance.

What Will You Bring to the Table?

• Strong understanding of environmental regulations, environmental management, and regulatory compliance.

• Knowledge of DENR requirements, environmental permitting, pollution control, and waste management.

• Good understanding of environmental concerns related to fuel, petroleum, industrial, or commercial operations is an advantage.

• Strong documentation, coordination, monitoring, and follow-up skills.

• Ability to conduct site inspections, identify environmental compliance issues, and coordinate appropriate corrective actions.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple environmental requirements and deadlines.

• Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with government agencies, site personnel, and internal departments.

Must-Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related environmental field.

• Relevant experience in environmental compliance, environmental permitting, pollution control, environmental management, or a similar role.

• Knowledge of DENR and LGU environmental requirements.

• Experience handling environmental permits, reports, inspections, and regulatory submissions.
