Job summary

San Miguel Foods in Calamba, Laguna seeks an Environmental Compliance and Safety Engineer to oversee environmental compliance and occupational safety across the hatchery.

The role includes securing DENR permits, submitting reports, managing hazardous waste, and maintaining IMS registers. You will lead audits, coordinate with external auditors, and drive safety training to achieve zero incidents.

This position requires DENR and DOLE accreditations and a hands-on approach to ensure audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Ensure full environmental compliance and safety across the hatchery.
• Secure and renew DENR permits, submit quarterly Self-Monitoring Reports.
• Manage hazardous waste and conduct safety training.
• Maintain IMS legal and EMS/HSMS registers.
• Lead audits, resolve non-conformities, and prepare position papers on NOVs.
• Coordinate with MFA, TTAS, and CTA auditors and lead emergency drills.

Description:

Ensure full environmental compliance, occupational safety and health, the entire hatchery. As a DENR-accredited
Pollution Control Officer and DOLE-accredited Safety Officer, secure and renew all DENR permits, submit quarterly
Self-Monitoring Reports, manage hazardous waste, conduct Safety training. Maintain the IMS legal register and
aspect/impact registers for EMS and HSMS. Support FSMS on water potability and chemical contamination prevention.
Achieve zero NOV, zero lost-time injury, and full audit readiness. Attend multi-functional audits (MFA), coordinate with
TTAS and CTA auditors, resolve non-conformities, prepare position papers on NOVs, lead emergency drills, and attend
monthly ECSE meetings.
