Job summary

Zenith Foods Corporation in Laguna, Philippines, seeks an Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead the implementation, improvement, and compliance of workplace safety and environmental management systems in a food manufacturing setting.

You will drive initiatives aligned with international standards, help the organization pursue IMS certifications, and establish solid frameworks for compliance and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or engineering-related field required.
• Licensed Engineer certification required.
• Accredited Pollution Control Officer (PCO) and Safety Officer (level 3 or 4) credentials required.
• At least 10 years of EHS experience in a food manufacturing or production environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure strict compliance with environmental and labor regulatory agencies such as DENR and DOLE.
• Facilitate and direct EHS programs and improve environmental and safety performance of plants.
• Manage and monitor the EHS budget and ensure initiatives stay within financial limits.
• Establish and test emergency preparedness and response plans for incidents such as fire or chemical exposure.
• Develop and enforce safety programs to minimize workplace risks and maintain a safe environment.
• Monitor production processes and ensure adherence to GMP and food safety standards.
• Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across departments through continuous improvement.
• Support operational needs through cross-functional collaboration and EHS process integration.

The Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager will lead the implementation, improvement, and compliance of workplace safety and environmental management systems. This role will drive initiatives aligned with international standards and help the organization work toward certifications such as IMS (Integrated Management System)by establishing solid frameworks for compliance and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure strict compliance with environmental and labor regulatory agencies such asDENR,DOLE, and other relevant bodies.
• Facilitate & prepare plans and direction for the organization in terms of EHS programs and improve the environmental and safety performance of the plants.
• Manage and monitor the EHS budget, ensuring all initiatives are carried out efficiently and within financial limits.
• Establish and periodically test emergency preparedness and response plans to address incidents such as fire, chemical exposure, or workplace accidents.
• Develop and enforce safety programs designed to proactively minimize workplace risks and maintain a safe operational environment.
• Monitor production processes and ensure adherence to internal policies,GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and food safety standards.
• Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across all departments through continuous improvement strategies.
• Support various operational needs through cross-functional collaboration and EHS process integration.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree inChemical, Mechanical, or any Engineering-related course.
• Must be alicensed Engineer.
• Must be an accredited Pollution Control Officer (PCO) andSafety Officer (level 3 or 4).
• With at leastten (10) years of EHS experience in afood manufacturingor production environment.
• Knowledgeable in safety compliance, risk assessment, and emergency management.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Willing to workonsite in Laguna.
