Entry-Level IT Helpdesk Technician

Job summary

NUSTAR Resort is seeking an IT Helpdesk representative in Cebu City to provide first-line technical support, respond to inquiries via chat, email, and phone, and manage customer issues. You will monitor office networks, assist with installations, and coordinate with suppliers for warranty repairs. Fresh graduates are welcome with a six-month support background preferred.

You will work closely with the IT team to ensure quick resolution of issues and high end-user satisfaction on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Fresh graduates welcomed; six months of technical support preferred.
• Graduate of Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Knowledgeable in basic computer hardware troubleshooting.
• Knowledgeable in basic TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting.
• Familiar with Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems.
• Self-motivated, eager to learn and client-oriented.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills; team player.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic computer troubleshooting on client's workstations.
• Provide first-level technical support and preliminary investigation for customer issues and service requests.
• Respond to customer inquiries via chat, email, and phone.
• Manage and track customer issues.
• Daily checking and monitoring of office network condition and status (internet connection, VPN, company system, etc.)
• Provide helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction.
• Talk to clients through actions to help set up systems or resolve issues.
• Engage in activities involving installation, office movement, and other IT projects.
• Daily update on the daily task monitoring to keep an updated list of support concerns and pending.
• Setup deployment, installation, pull-out, and configuration of PC, laptop, printer, and other IT equipment.
• Monitor and maintain the working condition and status of computer systems and network.
• Report to suppliers/vendors any defective IT equipment covered by warranty.
