Job summary

Mary Grace Foods, Inc. is hiring an Engineering Supervisor to ensure continuous operations of facilities, kitchen equipment, and machinery across Mary Grace stores, manufacturing plants, and offices.

The role leads engineers, technicians, and specialists to execute preventive maintenance and repair activities. The ideal candidate holds a PRC-licensed Mechanical or Electrical Engineering credential and 3+ years of supervisory maintenance experience, preferably in the food sector.

Qualifications

• Licensed Mechanical or Electrical Engineer (PRC).
• At least 3 years supervising repairs/maintenance in multiple sites.
• Experience in food manufacturing, restaurant, or hospitality is an advantage.
• Alternatively, 3+ years of relevant food-manufacturing repairs experience.
• Experience in handling in-house technicians.
• Preference for CAPEX & OPEX budgeting experience.
• Willing to work shifts and overtime as needed.
• Amenable to a 6-day workweek (8 hours/day).
• Willing to be assigned at the Head Office in San Martin de Porres, Parañaque City.

Responsibilities

• Manages a team of technicians (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, civil, etc.) for repairs and maintenance.
• Oversees a team of administrative coordinators to ensure permits and materials are ready for work.
• Develops and implements monthly work plans for the Engineering Group.
• Creates cost-effective preventive and corrective maintenance programs for equipment and facilities.
• Collects data and monitors evaluation of preventive/corrective actions for all programs.
• Ensures tools, parts, and supplies are defined, sourced, and stocked to maintain inventory.
• Maintains housekeeping and compliance with safety rules and regulations.
• Monitors operating costs and seeks improvements in tools, equipment, utilization, and productivity.
• Motivates and assists subordinates through coaching and performance reviews.
• Contributes to annual budget planning for the Engineering Department.
• Prepares reports to monitor resource use and address concerns.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the head of the department.

Job description

The Engineering Supervisor ensures continuous and efficient operations of facilities, kitchen equipment, and machinery in Mary Grace stores or manufacturing plants & offices including waste water treatment facility, electrical, air-conditioning, among others. S/he leads a group of engineers, technicians, and specialists to execute appropriate preventive maintenance programs and repair activities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manages a team of technicians (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, civil works, etc.) for the execution of repairs and maintenance works.
• Manages a team of administrative coordinators to ensure that work permits and materials are complete for the smooth execution of repairs and maintenance works.
• Develops, maintains, and implements monthly work plan activities for the Engineering Group.
• Devices cost-effective preventive and corrective maintenance programs for equipment and machinery, waste water treatment facility, electrical, air-conditioning, building and grounds.
• Obtains various data and monitors the proper and timely evaluation of preventive and corrective action for all equipment/treatment programs needed for waste water treatment facility, electrical, air-conditioning, building and grounds.
• Ensures all needed tools, spare parts, equipment and operating supplies are defined, maintained and sourced out properly/timely to keep an appropriate inventory level and source are known/available.
• Implements consistent housekeeping maintenance at all times and compliance to all safety rules and regulations that are appropriate for operating/monitoring/maintaining equipment and machinery.
• Monitors and controls the cost of operating and maintaining equipment and treatment programs including finding ways to improve tools/equipment performance, utilization and manpower productivity.
• Motivates and encourages subordinates towards continuous performance improvement, compliance to safety rules and regulations through coaching and direct supervision and performance appraisal/reviews.
• Ensures all aspects of the Engineering Department’s needs are covered in the preparation of the annual budget.
• Prepares reports to monitor and ensure efficiency on use of resources to solve concerns and issues.
• Performs other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the immediate head.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Mechanical/Electrical Engineer (PRC).
• At least three (3) years experience in supervising the repair and maintenance of kitchen equipment, HVAC equipment, or facilities in multiple sites. Open to occasional field work. Experience in the food manufacturing, restaurant, or hospitality industry is an advantage.
• OR At least three (3) years of relevant experience in a food manufacturing repairs and maintenance.
• With experience in handling in-house technicians.
• Preferably with experience in CAPEX & OPEX budgeting.
• Willing to work shifting schedules and overtime as necessary.
• Amenable to work on a 6-day workweek (8 working hours/day, 6 days per week).
• Willing to be assigned in Head Office located at San Martin de Porres, Paranaque City.
