Job description

The position is responsible for providing strategic and hands‑on leadership for all engineering, maintenance, facilities, utilities, and technical operations within the organization. It ensures the reliability, safety, and efficiency of manufacturing equipment, facility infrastructure, and engineering systems while driving continuous improvement, project execution, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. The role serves as the key engineering leader, aligning local operations with organizational standards and business objectives while developing high‑performing engineering teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will:

  • Lead and develop engineering, maintenance, and facilities teams to achieve operational, safety, and business objectives.
  • Manage workforce planning, performance management, succession planning, employee development, and technical training programs.
  • Oversee engineering, maintenance, utilities, and facilities operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance.
  • Direct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for production equipment, utilities, facility infrastructure, and building systems.
  • Improve equipment reliability and operational performance through root cause analysis, reliability‑centered maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical leadership and support for manufacturing operations, equipment‑related challenges, investigations, and operational improvement projects.
  • Lead capital and operational projects including equipment acquisition, automation, facility upgrades, utility improvements, and expansion initiatives.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and resource planning to support organizational growth and investment decisions.
  • Develop engineering specifications, project scopes, and procurement requirements for equipment, materials, and technical services.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, environmental, occupational health and safety, quality management, and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain audit readiness and oversee engineering records, calibration activities, validation programs, investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Manage departmental budgets, including CAPEX and OPEX planning, forecasting, monitoring, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Review and negotiate technical contracts, project agreements, and vendor engagements to ensure cost‑effectiveness and service quality.
  • Develop and implement engineering standards, policies, procedures, and best practices that support operational excellence.
  • Review and approve technical documents, engineering drawings, specifications, and reports as required.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and leadership to support strategic initiatives and organizational goals.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
  • You must have a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. A master’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field, as well as project management certification, is highly preferred.
  • You must be a licensed Professional Engineer, preferably a Mechanical Engineer or Electrical Engineer.
  • You must have at least 10 years of progressive experience in engineering, maintenance, facilities, manufacturing operations, or related technical functions.
  • You must have substantial leadership experience managing engineering, maintenance, or facilities teams.
  • You must have experience within regulated manufacturing environments such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, dental products, electronics, or similar industries.
  • You must have proven expertise in engineering operations, maintenance management, facilities management, utilities, and capital project execution.
  • You must have strong knowledge of quality management systems, ISO standards, occupational health and safety requirements, and applicable regulatory frameworks.
  • You must have experience with SAP PM, CMMS platforms, or similar maintenance management systems.
  • You must have strong financial and business acumen, including budget management, cost control, resource planning, and investment evaluation.
  • You must have strong analytical, problem‑solving, stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • You must demonstrate the ability to develop engineering strategies, drive operational improvements, and build high‑performing technical teams.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 5 pm.

Work Setup: Onsite – Lipa City, Batangas
